Hit Trace for bone | Proper setup?

Hey all! I am sure this question has been asked before but I cannot seem to find an actual answer.

When I try to do a hit trace on character actor that has a collision capsule, I cannot hit past the capsule. I have tried altering the collision presets to ignore trace by channel and by camera, but still do not get the bone name of the skeletal mesh of the character inside the collision capsule. I have also made sure that trace by channel and camera are set to overlap on the skeletal mesh. Still nothing…

Does anyone have any insight to this?
