I just want to start off by saying I am fairly new at UE4, and I am still learning the engine. But recently I have had a bit of inspiration when I played Civilization 5, Total War: Rome II, and Crusader Kings 2, and have been imagining a game that is sort of like all three, in the sense that it is turn based, like in civilization, it is family and dynasty based like in CK2, and the wars are sort of real time and rendered like in Total War: Rome II, but unlike these games, it is not based off of real Kingdoms, but the character and the AI are fictional kingdoms, and the AI kingdoms are loosely based off of real kingdoms, also the game would take place from 3500 BCE to 1519 CE. Also over time AI kingdoms are founded, and along with wars would completely change the games world from when it started. Also, once your dynasty dies off, you can create a new dynasty, and continue this up until the end in 1519. I have experience in fusion and game maker, but have never done anything this grandiose, I guess what I am asking is for some tips and some help that could lead me in the right direction on creating the base system of the game, since I have no idea where to start. Anything will help, thanks.
