Blue Isle Studios is looking for a candidate with an extensive background in UI workflows and has experience shipping at least one successful AAA console or PC game title. Our ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about user-centric design, and recognizes UI as an art form. Your skills and responsibilities would include visual design for all user interface elements ranging from menus to in-game HUD, and implementation of the UI front end in Unreal Engine 4. **This is a full-time contract, remote position (minimum 6 months). **
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with the programming team, implementing the UI front-end on nodes exposed in blueprints
- Design mockups in Adobe Photoshop to be implemented in UMG
- Iterate on UMG designs based on user feedback and testing
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years as a graphic designer, UX designer, UI designer, interaction designer or similar
- Experience and examples creating software application, web or game related user interfaces
- Experience working in Unreal 4’s UMG
- Strong knowledge and experience of blueprints in Unreal 4
- Can prototype ideas using high or low fidelity techniques in Adobe Photoshop
- Strong communication skills
- Strong ability to self-manage
Pluses:
- C++ coding experience
- Experience working with open world multiplayer games
- Design and/or technical related diploma or degree
