[Hire] UE Level artist / map designer (m/f/d) for Sci-Fi Tank vs Tank Multiplayer Shooter (hiring in Germany only)

Mortian Online
Grim Dark Sci-Fi Tank vs Tank shooter based on scale models for tabletop games.

About the game
Mortian Online is a competitive multiplayer tank shooter set in a dark sci-fi universe, drawing inspiration from titles like War Thunder and World of Tanks. Players engage in team-based matches using customizable armored vehicles. Successful matches earn research points, which can be used to upgrade, personalize, and unlock new vehicles.

A unique aspect of the project is its deep connection to the physical scale model / tabletop community. The in-game vehicles are based on original model kits developed by me, Mortian (5,000 scale model customers and around 27,000 followers). We are also partnering with a well-known paint manufacturer from the tabletop industry to bring the exact colors from the tabletop hobby into the game.

Facts:
PC only
Up to 20 vs 20 multiplayer matches (scalable as performance allows)
Highly customizable vehicles
Tracked, wheeled, legged and hovering vehicles with traditional and sci-fi weapons
Armor penetration and module damage system (similiar to Warthunder)
3rd person and 1st person cameras
A lot of smaller tactiacal features
Artstyle: grim, dark, realistic, rusty but not post apocalyptic

Current status

Roughly 60 vehicle chassis from CAD waiting to be transferred to usable models for Unreal
Partial funding by a German government support programm for PC games.

Our team
We are currently two and a half people.

The other (me) is a self-taught 3D texture artist with a background outside of the games industry, coming from the physical model-building sector. I also worked as a Project Manager in the automotive industry for 7 years before this.
