when I trasfer my animation to ue4 it doesnt bring over the hip motion for some reason, i dont have root motion enabled or anything like that so im not sure of the problem… I’ve only just noticed after 2 days of working with them
… that rig is a mess of useless bones.
did you forget to check export only deform bones?
other then that, it is not a rigify issue.
maybe your skeleton has the hip set to skeleton translation within retargeting options?
You’re right, it is a mess… I don’t want to reimport as i’ve done A LOT of work and i feel it will break if i change any of it…
how would i go about checking that? i look at the retarget manager and there isnt an option to change it
open the skeleton, right click the top and select the “show retargeting options” entry.
Man… at this point you’ve basically done my whole project for me…
Turns out i was messing with these options before when following a bad tutorial and must have accidentally changed the wrong one… Thanks so much
