Hey everyone! I am new to this forum. I have been a Fortnite player for quite sometime with my son who plays quite a lot.With the most recent release of UEFN, I really wanted to dip my feet into creating maps/game modes/etc.
Here is HighRise:
This is a ZoneWars map where you are pitted against 30 players. Each player is given 10 lives, a pistol, and a grapple gun to start. There are hidden weapons and items throughout the map at your disposal. Its a fight to the end! Who can make it to the last circle and be crowned the Champion!
I cannot release the map just yet since I have to have 21 days of working in UEFN. When the time comes though, I will release it to the world! Would love to get some people together to test it out since I will need to test the timings of the storm/player count and player lives count.
Since I am a new user, I cannot upload a video just yet. When I get the chance , I will post some of my crappy gameplay so you guys can get a sense of the level.

This looks genuinely fun (and terrifying) to play. Since you have a few days left before uploading, you can add a ton of easter eggs and other fun elements to the map 
Can’t wait to see the gameplay! Happy developing in the meantime!

Thanks! You guys have made this a really unique fun experience to build maps/etc. I thoroughly enjoyed putting this together.
I will be definitely be doing that! I will also go through and double check penetrations of any items/objects/etc.
Can’t wait to playtest it with 30 players, will be an intense match!

Here is some gameplay! Forgive my movement hahahaha but you can get a sense of the map/gameplay. Can’t wait to try it out with more people! Will be chaotic!

Thank you for sharing the gameplay! Your map looks both extremely challenging and fun! This is a really unique design. I couldn’t help but experience that vertigo feeling once your character started dropping toward the water below!
How did you come up with the concept for the design of this map? Wishing you the very best of luck!

I play alot of Battle Royale between Fortnite and Warzone and the one thing I initially wanted to create and haven’t seen done much is a more vertical centric arena. I wanted something where the fights are compact but ,keeping in mind, having the ability to escape.
Before starting the blocking process of the map, I went into Midjourney and started conceptualizing what the map may look like. Just grabbing ideas of what sections of the map could look/play like. Now, some of the images may look nothing like this final build but it was just to get the creative process flowing.
Then I start blocking in rough geo for the map, very crude placement etc to get a feel for where things would go. My main goal , was to have the player always feel like they are in a “vertigo” situation. I really want them to feel the verticality of everything and the pressure to not fall and die.
After the blocking phase, I would just do some testing on how it feels. I quickly realized that the player needs to be able to move quickly and to get in and out of situations fast. I decided to add the grapple gun so that people were able to flow throughout the map swiftly.
Then once I had most of the map blocked I started bring in assets that I wanted to use for the look from Fortnite’s library. Also started laying down weapons/etc and extra items to give the players more mobility (like the hammer and kinetic blade).
Now the final stage will be to test it in terms of the storm’s speed and damage, and whether players have too many lives (starting with 10) or too few.
Can’t wait to do some playtests!!

Thank you for such a great response! I could imagine each step of your creative process for this build. I hadn’t considered Midjourney to generate concepts! That’s a wonderful idea!

I am releasing an update that fixes some issues. I have adjusted the player count to 48, added a pregame lobby, and a few other gameplay mechanic settings. Let me know what you guys think!
