I trying to create procedural terrain using layer masks to define materials and grass. The problem I am having, is the heightmap resolution is 1531 pixels, scaled to 8000m, which makes it quite coarse and I can only use layer masks for the whole landscape with a resolution the same as the landscape. I would prefer to use something like 12248pixels (8x the heighmap resolution) which is sub 1m resolution.
Any idea on this?
You can see the original vectors I used, the output mask created at high resolution, the mask when reduced to same res as landscape (1531) and then resulting material and grass in unreal from low res mask.
