Hey everyone, I’m trying to compile the source build for Unreal Engine 5. I’ve seen people say it should take about an hour for first-time compilation. However, I’m currently on hour 4 and it’s still chugging along. It’s about 60% completed now.
I have higher-end hardware so I’m not sure where the bottleneck is.
Hardware:
i7-11700k
32gb 3200mhz DDR4 RAM
2070 Super
Samsung 970 EVO Plus
Is it typical to see 4, 5, or 6 hour first build times with this kind of hardware?
