High - UEFN - Day Sequence Device/Env Light Rig Feedback

I am comparing this device with the skydome device since I had to replace that for lighting and lumen to work, so here is a quick list:

PROS:
-Love the customization of the sun and how in-depth you can get with each lighting element (like fog)
-Love lumen control
-Love the new night sky and animated clouds
-Love the live preview from within UEFN

CONS:
-No control over ambient shadows
-Cant change the cloud type (only one type exists)
-Doesnt support custom skyboxes (or at least it’s not obvious - would be nice if its similar to how post process volume has an option to set your own material, to have something similar, and a provided list from at least 3 options from the Fortnite folder - Fortnite, Cartoony, Realistic). Changing the cubemap on the Skylight within Environment Light Rig doesn’t change the sky).
-Doesn’t support Camera Filters (from island settings - need to test but leaving here because lumen didn’t like them anyway)
-Can’t control auto-exposure (cant make dark areas) nvm, found that setting, but very obscure for new users.
-Can’t disable them in editor to debug what is active and what is not, and make them toggle in game.

If you look in the lighting folder there are Post Process volumes that are setup to match the camera filters. These should work when you are using either of these new devices.

I’ve also noticed there’s little control over the color of fog. Like any color you choose seems to always to be a bright version of that color, but in the skydome, we had much better color displays if we wanted a dark color (like Black)

@Wertandrew To control Ambiant Shadows play with Skylight Intensity

@DimensionDragon make sure you play with the intensity values when you are opting in to modify the fog! I managed to get it to show quite a dense saturated color.

@Art3mysz I’ll keep that in mind, thanks

Seems that there is a bug with interiors and casting of shadows in lumen. I tried tweaking lumen exposure but no settings allowed me to fix. Am I missing something? More info here: https://forums.unrealengine.com/t/normal-uefn-lumen-casting-of-light-in-areas-of-shadow-interiors/790475
