Hey everyone,
I just graduated high school and I’ve been looking into careers in cloud computing. College is in the plans, but I’m also exploring certifications to build real skills early. One that keeps popping up is CompTIA Cloud+.
Has anyone here taken it? Or started with something similar?
From what I’ve researched, Cloud+ isn’t beginner like some other certs (like AWS Cloud Practitioner), but it seems like a solid way to understand multi-cloud environments, networking basics, and cloud security. It’s vendor-neutral too, so you’re not locked into just AWS or Azure knowledge.
For those thinking about it, or currently preparing! I found that it helps to have some background in networking and virtualization. I brushed up using free videos and then moved on to practice tests.
One resource that really helped was Pass4Future. They offer scenario-based practice questions, which is super important because Cloud+ isn’t just about definitions, it’s about how you apply what you know. Their questions felt pretty close to the real thing.
If you’re aiming for an entry-level cloud job or want to build up experience before college internships, I think Cloud+ is worth looking into. It’s definitely more hands-on than just reading a textbook.
Would love to hear from anyone who’s taken it, or even decided against it. Did it help with getting noticed for internships or jobs?
Thanks in advance!
