Hello all,
I wish you a happy new year, lots of points and few components !
Version 1.0.3.10393’s changelog mentions that now, the “User can use a high-level programming language to control the program flow, send command-line commands to an already opened RC instance”.
Could you provide us with a little more detail, please ?
To be specific, being a seasoned software developer I would love to be able to fire up a console and work with RC’s object model and commands with some (preferably Python) code ! Or, even better, communicate with / drive RC from my own code through an API of sorts.
Thanks for the good work.
Best,
Stéphane
Hi there,
yes that would be interesting for me as well.
great release - but it is lagging documentation or am I missing something?
cheers,
Vincent
Hello,
There is a Help article written in the application regarding this. Please search for
Delegation of Commands
Thanks 363763927319, I wouldn’t have found it by myself !
This may prove really (really) useful for me to bootstrap new projects and setup full workflows. It’s really great that we can do that with the PPI version as well, and not only the CLI version.
From what I understand, the CLI RC version adds the possibility to run such processes without the GUI at all, as any other CLI software. Am I right ? I can only imagine what I could do with such a tool, but the price tag of this version is prohibitive for me as a photogrammetry amateur / enthusiast. For now. :)
Best regards,
Stéphane
