HideBoneByName does not affect attached components

Although the documentation for this function states that it internally sets the bone’s scale to 0, the scale of the objects attached to that bone remains unchanged.

This is strange. Even though I explicitly specified the bone as the parent, rather than just specifying the position, the scale is not inherited. Why does something like that happen?

If this were limited to a purely visual effect, any mention of scale would only cause confusion and should therefore be unnecessary.

HideBoneByName only zeroes the bone for skinning, so vertices weighted to that bone collapse. attached components follow the bone’s real transform, which the hide doesn’t touch, so they keep their scale.

to hide the attached object, do it directly: SetVisibility or SetHiddenInGame on that component (or destroy it if it’s an actor). if you want it gone with the bone, call the same toggle from the same place you call HideBoneByName.
