Hello Epic Games Team,
If I disable the Team Indicator in Island Settings, the button still appears on the phone screen, even though it serves no purpose. I also tried using other devices to hide it, but I couldn’t find a way to do so.
In my opinion, it would be better if the button automatically disappeared from the phone screen when the Team Indicator is disabled in Island Settings. This would help keep the interface cleaner, especially in maps optimized for mobile devices.
If a creator wants to keep the button visible without using its original function, there is another solution. They can leave the Team Indicator enabled in Island Settings and use an Input Trigger Device (official documentation), assign it to the Team Indicator button, and set Consume Input to Yes. This way, the button can remain visible on the phone screen and be used to trigger a custom action without activating the original Team Indicator function.
I think this would give creators more freedom and control over their mobile interface. Those who don’t need the button could hide it, while those who want to use it for custom actions would still have a solution.
For this reason, I suggest making the Team Indicator button automatically disappear from the phone screen whenever the Team Indicator is disabled in Island Settings.
