Hi, When i was open the twin motion my cou fan speed is increased to much noise is coming from the CPU. Please help me on this

Hello ,

Thank you for posting in the community regarding your fan noise. Most of the time Twinmotion will be needing the video card to process information and thus trying to calculate a lot.

In direct response to the amount of work the video card needs to do will heats up and thus needing the fans to cool it down in order to avoid malfunction. If your are having louder noise that would be expected and you just need to make sure your computer airflow is not restricted in anyway. Keep the computer dust free as much as possible to avoid unnecessary performance issues or strange noise when spinning.

Hope this helps and let us know if you have any follow-up questions.

Kind regards,

Vincent B.

I have this problem, and my system features are 4070 ti 7950x and 128gb ram, and whenever twinmotion is turned on, audio comes from the video card, it's obvious that there are problems with twinmotion

I have a brand new desktop computer.

Windows 11, GTX 4090, Intel 13700KS, running Twinmotion 2023.1. Not a trace of dust.

Works flawlessly, and barely heats up when using UE5 or Rhino or anything for that matter.

But the minute a Twinmotion window is opened and in focus (doesn't do it when in the background or other App in focus), a high pitch noise comes from the tower.

It does it even with an empty project. Focusing on anything other than Twinmotion and the noise is gone.

There is, without a single doubt an issue with Twinmotion. I read that other people think it comes from the audio - they are probably on a laptop. It doesn't. It's the memory or the CPU, GPU data transfer...at least it sounds like it.

CPU and GPU are currently at 35 degrees Celcius and fans running low. I still get the noise the minute I focus on Twin Motion.

-- Edit

Something I notice too, the minute I focus on a Twinmotion window, the GPU temperature jumps by 10 degrees and won't stop climbing unless I lose the focus. Again... it's open on an empty project.

After leaving in focus for 3 minutes, GPU jumped to 63 degrees and the CPU to 53 degrees.

All that while opened on an empty view and not touching the computer.

When losing focus, both moved back to 40 degrees within 2/3 seconds.

Another hint for investigation. When dragging the window around, the sound is gone. The window isn't considered to focus. So it is most probably the rendering of... nothingness... that makes it happen.

Hello ,

Thank you for the follow-up and details on the noise and performance with Twinmotion and your system. With Twinmotion 2023.1 make sure you are using the latest GPU drivers and Windows OS updates.

The heating up and noise can indicate problem with airflow and cooling down of the GPU not necessarily a Twinmotion issue.

If you have more than one GPU on the desktop make sure Twinmotion is dedicated to use the correct GPU. You can reference this article: https://twinmotionhelp.epicgames.com/s/article/Use-your-dedicated-GPU-with-Twinmotion-on-a-Windows-computer

Are you using any GPU/CPU monitoring application such as MSI afterburner?

I recommend you contact us directly to report this behavior and further investigate.

Only one GPU. I have no problem with airflow and cooling: 7 fans + water-cooling. I can render in Blender while building scenes in U5 and it barely heats up. I play in maxed settings on 4K monitors and I never hear a sound.

But I open Twinmotion on an empty window with nothing to render and suddenly my tower burns and cries. How can this be not related to Twinmotion?

Hi. I have exactly the same problem. Over the years I have tried and come back to Twinmotion, hoping that this issue has been fixed with each update, but it still persists. The only version that works perfectly speed-wise is version 2021.1.4.

I have a machine that exceeds the recommended Twinmotion Qualification, and the fact that 2021 works, tells me that it is an issue with Twinmotion. This issue is is 2025.1, and once again prevents me from using this software.
