So I’m currently working on an open world racing game, firstly making a prototype of each concept before going in on final design. I want to do traversal and driving around and then go to a trigger point/box that activates a widget that I can interact with that starts the race data but I’m not sure how to go about having the race data such as A.I. and race logic that only activates and appears when I want to enter the race and also end the race at the finish and return to the Open World and kill all previous race data all while still staying in the same map. I can load the A.I. to drive around on a spline but that’s in open world. I don’t know how to switch from the open world to race. Would I do game instancing or changing game modes or states when pressing on the widget?
