The spring arm should retract and not penetrate (though it may be jerky). i’d check the following:
- the relative location of the spring arm is, maybe it’s not (0,0,0)… i.e. forward of your character?
- check the relative location of the camera, maybe it’s not (0,0,0)… i.e. forward of the spring arm?
- the collision on the door, and make sure the collision moves along with the mesh as it closes
Also, I don’t think this is the cause, but also just confirm the width of your character’s collision capsule, it might be too narrow.
