Hi, I wanted to know if anyone can help me. I can’t download HDRI ENVIRONMENTS spherical images.
I try to click on the download option but it doesn’t work. Does anyone know what the problem could be?
Thanks for posting in the community.
Please ensure you are signed into your Epic Games account before downloading an HDRI Environment. You can verify this by going to File -> Sign into Epic Games:
I'd also ensure you are launching Twinmotion from your Epic Games Launcher.
Let me know if you still need help with this, and I'd be happy to troubleshoot further with you.
This is likely not related, but the HDRI backgrounds seem to be .tmi files. Can an .exr file be somehow used or imported? I have created an HDRI spherical image of my iPhone using HDReye app but it produces 32-bit EXR format files.
Hey Scott,
You should be able to import .EXR HDRI backgrounds into your Twinmotion scene. I just confirmed on Twinmotion 2023.1 PR2.
Select your Ambiance object -> Env -> and Enable HDRI Environment. Once the default sky-dome loads, click the three dots above the HDRI Preview, then select Open to switch to a .EXR HDRI Environment on your local drive.
Thank you,
Sky
Sky, thank you. I actually managed to get this to work! A whole new world has now opened up.
