The ZTD-05 amphibious assault vehicle, also known as the Type 05 amphibious assault vehicle, is equipped with the Chinese People's Liberation Army Marine Corps and the Army amphibious mechanized forces, and is a member of the "Type 05 amphibious armored vehicle family" developed by the People's Republic of China. This vehicle is equipped with 1,600 horsepower diesel engine, power than the Army's Type 99 main battle tank 1500 higher, water speed can reach 28-30 km/h, is currently the world's fastest water amphibious armored assault vehicle. The ZTD-05 amphibious assault vehicle made its public debut at the military parade marking the 60th anniversary of the People's Republic of China's National Day on October 1, 2009.
