The MQ-4C UAV is an unmanned intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance aircraft platform produced by Northrop Grumman. Developed for the Navy on the basis of the U.S. Air Force's Global Hawk UAV, it is about 13.4 meters long and has a wingspan of 39.9 meters. It can fly at an altitude of 18,000 meters for 24 hours. The drone will be equipped with radar that can scan 360 degrees of the ocean below, allowing it to reconfigure nearly seven million square kilometers in a single flight. In addition, it is equipped with high-performance sensors that can clearly identify objects the size of golf balls in the sea when flying at an altitude of 18,000 meters. After finding suspicious targets, it can also lower its flight altitude to focus on the target reconnaissance. Experts say the MQ-4C will form the core of the U.S. Navy's maritime patrol and reconnaissance forces. [1]
