The Changzheng 1 nuclear submarine (hull number: 401, English: Chang Zheng 1 submarine SSN) is the first Type 091 nuclear submarine developed and built by China. The boat was launched on 26 December 1970. On August 1, 1974, the Central Military Commission of China issued an order to name the nuclear submarine "Long March 1", which was officially incorporated into the naval combat sequence and belonged to the North Sea Fleet of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy.
The Long March 1 nuclear submarine was decommissioned in 2000, and after radiation treatment, it was stationed in the dock of Qingdao Naval Museum in October 2016. After internal renovation, it was opened to the public on April 24, 2017.
In April 2023, after being reported to the State Administration of Cultural Heritage for the record, Shandong Provincial Cultural Relics Identification Center issued the "Report on the Grading of Revolutionary Cultural Relics of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy Museum", and announced the grading results of cultural relics in 2022, 401 "Long March 1" nuclear submarine is a first-class revolutionary cultural relic.长征1号核潜艇（舷号：401，英文：Chang Zheng 1 submarine SSN），是中国自行研制建造的091型核潜艇首艇。该艇于1970年12月26日下水。1974年8月1日，中国中央军委发布命令，将这艘核潜艇命名为”长征1号”，正式编入海军战斗序列，隶属中国人民解放军海军北海舰队。
长征1号核潜艇在2000年退役，经过去辐射处理后，2016年10月入驻青岛海军博物馆码头，经过内部修整后在2017年4月24日向公众开放公开展示。
2023年4月，经报国家文物局备案，山东省文物鉴定中心下发了《中国人民解放军海军博物馆革命文物定级报告》，公布2022年度文物定级结果，401“长征一号”核潜艇为一级革命文物。
