Hi, I have a quick question about how EXP works in Fortnite experiences.
I just published my first game using Unreal for Fortnite as well as the in-game tools side by side.
I have the accolade device setup on my island for about two different events reward on kills and reward on picking up one of the 5 collectables scattered around.
However, looking at my island on the lobby screen directly it shows that my island does not reward EXP so I am not sure if I set it up correctly.
Also, if I did make a mistake would I still be able to edit my project even after I already published it?
Hey, yes you can edit and update your map as often as you like and it keeps the same public island code.
The XP has a calibration period, if you recieve an email about calibration, then it should be OK. The calibration takes something like 10k plays before it turns on for your map.
When you play in test mode the accolades notify you about the XP award, if you don’t see this when you test, then there is a problem, although its hard to test eliminations when testing alone.
In the creator portal analytics, there is an XP tab, you can see how many times the accolades have been activated, but it takes a day or two for the results to show
