Hi guys. So I followed a guide I found on here to make a dino variant. It is a different size and has a different name to the vanilla variant, I can spawn it in and ride it. Sweet! There are a few things I would like help with though.

How do I change the dinos base stats? I have found the file “DinoCharacterStatusComponent_BP_Para”, I made a copy, changed the name and moved it to my mod folder. How or where do I tell my new dino variant to use this file and not the vanilla one? Which options should I change to modify the base stats, then which one would I change to modify the stat gains when you put a level into that given stat? I.e, I want the base damage to be higher than normal, then scale better every time a level point is spent on that stat.

How can I modify the melee attack of a dino to have the fire damage? You know, that burning over time damage.

<S>Alpha dinos have like a particle effect/glow. Some dinos in mods like annunaki have cool effects also. Is there a simple way of achieving this?</S>

UPDATE: After pulling apart other peoples mods, learning how to use the unreal particle system… and lots of trial and error, I have managed to achieve the alpha glow effect I was looking for on my dino variants!
I still have no idea how to modify the base stats though. I think I have the file but I’m not sure how I tell my variant to use the version I copied to my mod folder. Also which specific values to change inside that file as some sound similar.
Still want to learn how I can give my dino fire/burn damage also. Once I learn how to do this I’m hoping I will be able to add other damage buffs/effects to my other dinos. I figure the fire one will be the most straight forward as it already exists in the game.
