Help With Grind System

Hi, I’ve been working on a rail grinding system for over a month and made no progress. I’ve tried writing it with overlap events, sphere tracing, and using a separate detector to possess the player when near a rail, and none get anywhere close to working. I’ve tried following this tutorial (Unreal Skateboarding #7 - Grind - YouTube) and my sphere trace never detects the rail, no matter what I change. Any help or suggestions are much appreciated! Trying to get this working has been taking a significant hit to my mental health
