Hi, I recently came back to using Unreal Engine.
I never had any experience in any engines but I ran into a problem that I did have before, but it wasn’t so bad.
I have launched the First Person Example in Unreal Engine 5.3.1 and started building a small house using the free Assetsville Town assets pack. It was my first time building light in unreal engine so I just copied everything into a new level, when I built the light using lightmass importance volume I got shadows on every single edge of the walls, floors and ceiling. I didn’t change any settings expect lightmass.
I tried increasing the light map resolution for some assets, it was better but the higher I go the more time it takes to build lighting for this small house. The floor is 252 and I can still see the shadows on the edges.
I was wondering if there is anything else I can do, or should I just try increasing the resolution more? I checked the UV’s they seem to be fine, no overlapping.
I also would like to know what can I do about these moving shadows in the video I linked.
Thanks in advanced.
