Help with controller rotation in side scroller game

I have a sidescroller that I have been working on that I would like for the character to turn depending on the location of the mouse. I am at work at the moment and don’t have the ability to screenshot the blueprint that I’ve been working on. I believe that I should be using the “Set Control Rotation” function but have not had any luck getting the functionality that I’m looking for. Any help would be appreciated.

Ok, here is what I have so far. It works, but I think there is probably a better way and when the character changes direction sometimes he turns toward the camera and sometimes he turns away.

Its hard to tell without actually seeing your blueprint. When you can post a screenshot of it ill see what i can do to help.

I also have another question on this. I see some people adding movement inputs on “Character” or “Controller” BP. Does this matter?
