Hi, I need to install the Visual Studio Community for unreal engine 5.6 but cant find it anywhere, I have been searching for over 2-3 hours and on the microsoft website any links to 2022 goes to 2026 and in the installer the only available version is 2026. I would like to download the version from microsoft besite but tried everything and cant find a link to the installer… how is this possible?
You should be able to get all VS version from the following site:
Once you click Download, you will be prompted for your MS credentials, then you should reach the following list, all the installers should be available there:
There’s no free community edition there. There’s a Professional edition which if I understood correctly is a trial with a monthly suscription of 45 USD.
I can’t find Visual 2022 community anywhere.
It would be good to hear from epic if we can use 2026, or what should we do
Open Unreal Engine and in the popup that lets you open a project or create a new one, select C++ project, and then there’s a button there to install Visual Studio 2022.
