Help! Unreal engine won't start

So I have been trying to download unreal engine for some work with some textures. Of course with my bad luck I can’t seem to open the ■■■■ thing.

Every time I open the engine it comes out with the error:

Now, I have reinstalled the engine 5 times, found different versions of the engine and I have even gone so far to reset my whole ■■■■ computer. But no luck

Please help me
Best regards

Does your computer meet the minimum system requirements?

Yes. I5 7300 working at 3,5ghz and a gtx 1050 with 8 gb ram

Its strange people having lower specs are running it very smoothly, you can check here http://www.thebestadvices.com/best-graphics-cards/ that there are many low-end graphics cards which are capable of running it, so don’t worry for the specs you are very good to go, this might not be fault of your PC’s specs there could be an internal software issue. I can’t tell you the exact problem but previously i was also getting some errors so i have just Googled it whatever issue was displayed. Then i followed different guides on various site now it is working good all the issues are fixed so i will suggest you to google with your issue and you will get the solution.

Make sure that you’re forcing it to use the Nvidia GPU, it has an integrated Intel GPU but that’s not going to work well for UE4 and while it’s supposed to use the Nvidia GPU when needed, it often doesn’t work that great in making that happen. You can set the computer to always use the Nvidia GPU in the Nvidia Control Panel

I had the same problem…

Fatal error: [File:D:\Build++UE4+Release-4.19+Compile\Sync\Engine\Source\Runtime\Windows\D3D11RHI\Private\D3D11Util.cpp] [Line: 233] Result failed at D:\Build++UE4+Release-4.19+Compile\Sync\Engine\Source\Runtime\Windows\D3D11RHI\Private\D3D11Viewport.cpp:303 with error 8876017C

…because of this…“D3D11RHI\Private\D3D11”

I thought it might have to do with Direct X.
…checked “dxdiag” and Direct X 12 is installed on my computer.

So I only have to force Win64\UE4Editor.exe to **use Direct X 12 **and everything is working fine now!

(btw… I have to use integrated graphic card for launcher and Nvidia GPU for Unreal Engine ofc!)
The launcher would not work with Nvidia GPU (GTX 970 M 6 GB - Acer Predator Laptop)
