Help Setting Up Root Motion in Maya

Hey guys! I’m trying to integrate Root Motion in my model and am having trouble getting the Root Bone to be where it’s meant to. I’m using a lunge jump animation from Mixamo with a custom model. I tried following the tutorial below but encountered issues since I need my characters hips to roll on the floor.

I’m got the capsule collider to follow the model through the animation but its not following character in the Z-Axis (see video below).

I’ve attached Both the Maya file of the Jump with me attempting to do the root bone and the the base file of the animation itself.
