Help: Robo Recall Teleport ignores direction?

When teleporting, you can dial the thumb stick toward the direction you intend to face, release and pop - there you are. Except when it doesn’t work.

I need some help sorting out why I can point and release only to end up facing the wrong direction. I’ll intend to teleport towards a robo, so I’ll place the directional arrow immediately before it. When I release I’ll be facing the wrong direction with the robo behind me. I’m inclined to believe it has something to do with the three sensor 360° setup, but other games are teleporting perfectly.

Any insight/corrective action would be greatly appreciated.

But as the answer is simple: The arrow points towards your front sensors, not the direction your HMD will end up facing. Yes, it is a bit strange…
