Help purchasing a GPU

I’m in the Market for a videocard and I’m looking at the AMD 6800xt and the upcoming Nvidia 4070. I am only aiming for 2k gaming and I wanted to know whether or not 12GB VRAM on the Nvidia would be good enough to carry me thru 4yrs or so of ownership. I just don’t know how heavy the assets are on UE5 and i’m not a developer.

I’m leaning towards the Nvidia card because I may want to use ray tracing on occasion.

I don’t know where else to get a solid opinion on this so please help.

Yes, definitely go for the Nvidia card, as good of one that you can afford. The 4070 is quite good and should carry you for the 4 years depending on what you want to do of course. The 4000 series is the latest and reasonably recent and a better option than the 3000 series. 12GB is pretty good as many people get on with just 6GB on lower end cards.
