help on Compiling unity editor

So i have downloaded source code from Github and ran setup.bat, downloaded desired dependencies.I opened ue4.sln file in visual studio and started to build but the parsing reached a point where it doesnt move forward.

1> PCH.Engine.h.cpp
so how do i know if its still building or stopped.

Firstly this is not the Unity Editor.

Secondly make sure you have met all the requirements for building Unreal Engine from Source using this link “Building Unreal Engine” and this link “Setting Up Visual Studio for UE4”.

If you still don’t come right, please provide us with your build log as most times there is an error further up the chain that is causing the problem.

Did you run the “Setup.bat” and “GenerateProjects.bat” after you downloaded the source?

Yeah I ran setup.bat and generateprijects.bat and that’s where we get UE4.sln that can be opened using VISUAL STUDIO to build.And what do you mean by this is not unity editor.
It says Parsing headers for UE4Editor.

This is not Unity … this is Unreal … they are two separate engines. Your topic says building the Unity editor … my initial response was going to be: “Good luck building Unity using Unreal source … not even Steve Jobbs could do it” … but I refrained.

Unity != Unreal Engine == true;

Anyway … post your full build log and lets see what we can see.

ok sorry lol ,<facepalm>.I was using unity too so just got confused between terms.And come on man they both start with “U”.I just mixed them up.Now I restarted the whole process ,semms to be working.

Okay man … cool.

I just ran a test compile from my side again and it is all working for me. 8-}

Glad you came right.

What button in the cryengine project do I find photoshop’s mudbox tool for converting nurbs curves with substance materials in unity settings for unreal ?

The sixth button from the right … LOL
