Help Needed: Character picking up object by button press

Hi there guys!

I was hoping someone could help me with a blueprint problem I’m having:
I want to be able to walk up to an item (food pickup) and have the option to pick it up after input - pressing a button. I know how to do it simply by overlapping, but I want to add the button prompt to allow for more than one option - and also have a pickup animation. At the moment I just can’t seem to get the communication working between blueprints!

Any help would be hugely appreciated!

Your can use line trace and a blueprint interface

So for example when the player press E do a line trace then if it hits a actor check if the actor implements that inteface if it does then you can use the interface to send or recive information like variables to/from that’s how I’ve got my inventory system set up at least :slight_smile: if you have anymore questions ask and I’ll try to help
