Help me. The root motion is clumsy and the character moves only forward.

When I press W, A, or D, the character moves forward without turning the camera. I use root motion for animations, and it is enabled on blueprint.

I’m not exactly sure what you’ve got going on in that code, but it is usually a lot more complicated than that.

Thank you for the video. After watching it, the character started to walk in the direction the camera was pointing, but it still went left and right, even though the character was looking in a different direction.

I think it might be because you have your look action bound to “Set Player Forward” and “Set Player Right”. Did you take that out in favor of what they had in the video?

I still haven’t figured out root motion, so I decided to make the movement based on regular animations.
