It depends on what you want to create—in UE4 you can create things that look very nice. As an artist, that may be all you need. There are template game types as well, so if you simply want to create an FPS level then you can do that very easily. If your focus is on things looking good, then definitely go for UE4.
I personally would recommend you to just use UDK till next year and then when you have your new pc jump over to the UE4 -> except of the programming and blueprint part everything works like in UDK So it will be easy for you to jump over to the UE4
Or if your into C++ programming and has no interest on learning any other languages then UE4 is for you in my case I went from TorqueEngine to Ogre3D and was excited when I found out about Unreal Engine 4 and bought the $19 with no updates. Blew my mind that I just bought an engine for a price of $19 that could cost around a thousand or more. Well this is EpicGames they also made UDK and Unreal Engine 3 for free with great games were made under its belt triple-A or indie.
If UDK can do that it might as well could re-create this using nothing but Bluescript. ?v=YrY3tZ4ddX0
thanks
my friend say unreal 4 not like udk is it true ?? (only ue4 landscape like udk ) . ue4 is very powerful Compared to the udk and i dont like udk
I bought the unity3d but unity3d not have a tool like kismet or blueprint and i dont like that too
.
i think that udk is better for me till next year
UE4 is very much like UDK, but many things are improved. If you know how to use UDK you will be comfortable with UE4.
Those points here are just improved versions in the UE4, so when you know how to use them in UDK, you wont have problems with the UE4
