i need help with reality capture as one side of the tree refuses to render i have tried control points but nothing changes the only thing i do know is the camera poses are all one sided and i dont know how to move them.
i have tried over 400 photos and now roughly 30 photos and gotten zero results
Hello, we do have a tutorial about using control points available on this link. But in order to place the control points, there still needs to be at least some visual overlap between the components. If you don’t have the visual overlap, control points won’t help you, and it would be easier and less time-consuming to reshoot the tree.
I see that you only took 33 photos. Try at least 10x more, so around 300.
You need to ensure there are no gaps or dead spots between the photos. For example, take photos from the same distance as you did previously but in smaller increments. These will be your overall shots.
Once you finish, move two steps closer to the tree and start taking detail shots. Do multiple loops in different elevations. Put the camera on a pole or use a ladder.
Once you do this, focus on occluded areas that were not visible in the previous detail shots.
Here is an example of a very detailed scan of a tree. You don’t have to take so many photos, but I hope you get the idea.
