[HELP] Island Removed from Discover and Search

Hey all, so yesterday I got an email notifying me that my Island TMNT Pizza Parkour! !:pizza: [8867-4734-0877] would be removed from discover and search due to violating Rule 1.7 Respect IP Ownership.

Here’s the email I received:

Regarding the title, description and one or more instructional bullet points the only thing that would flag for Rule 1.7 Respect IP Ownership would be the use of “TMNT” but the Brand rules clearly states that “TMNT” can be used in an island name or description so long as the use does not imply that Paramount Global Group created or endorsed your island.

TMNT Brand Rules I am referencing:

I have tried publishing a new version of my map and replaced any use of “TMNT” with “Turtles” in the hopes that I can get my island back online but I literally should not have to when the brand rules say that it’s okay to use. I have also appealed the sanction on my map and cited the brand rules in my response. It’s been nearly 24 hours and my new island version and appeal are both still “In Review.”

In regards to the promotional image, I’m assuming that means my thumbnail which I’ve included a screenshot of. However, I am still left confused as to why it’s being flagged for Rule 1.7 Respect IP Ownership.

Thumbnail:

Again, I will reference the TMNT Brand rules that state:

You can:

  • Use TMNT assets and characters provided to you in UEFN in your thumbnails and lobby backgrounds so long as they follow the existing guidelines.

Screenshot of Rules I am referencing:

The “We received a report of a potential violation and after careful review using human moderation” is the most frustrating part for

  1. Why would my map be reported?
  2. There is absolutely no way that human moderation looked at this report and flagged all that they did.

This all is extremely anxiety inducing for me after putting so much time and effort into this island and If anyone can help me with this, has any advice or can get me into contact with someone who can I’d really appreciate it.

Did you find out why it was taken down?
I am guessing it may be something in the lobby image, because it has some assets that have a logo on them.
A screenshot with fortnite assets can trigger a rejection, it happened to my map

The gold bars have a vbucks logo on them which is apparently not allowed even though its a fortnite asset.
It took me multiple tries to find out whats wrong, but my map was accepted and then taken down after hours/days multiple times.
I see you got yours back up, it might get taken down again if you are not really sure why it happened

I appreciate the response! I haven’t gotten any more info as to why it was taken down. I initially tried to publish a new private version (like how I mentioned in my post) but that version failed after being in review for 24 hours. I was able to push a new version after that with 0 changes from before the takedown (I reverted title, thumbnail, basically anything I had changed after the map was taken down because everything within my project is according to the TMNT Brand Rules) and it was accepted within ~2 hours. The appeal for this takedown is still in review after nearly 3 days now.

In regards to the lobby image, I really hope that’s not the case because it was basically the only one of my promotional materials that wasn’t flagged lol.

What I think happened is someone reported my map just because they could and an AI moderator flagged everything that had anything to do with TMNT. So characters or text. The only common denominator between the title, description, and instructional bullet points is the text “TMNT”. And the only common denominator for the promontional image and promotional video is the use of the TMNT characters.
