Help importing my animated rig from Blender

I get the error that says I have more than one root bone, but when I try to parent all of my bones to a root, my rig completely ceases to function.

have you found a solution for this? I have the same issue.

You need to make a main bone that when you move it, it moves all other bones with it. You can use this to make root motion.

To do this press Shift + S
Snap Cursor to Center
Tab into edit mode on your armature.
Press Shift + A
Armature -> Single Bone (you probably know a a lot of this but just in case I’m telling you).
Now in the top right you should see the hierarchy view.
Press the ‘+’ sign next to your rig.
This should open up the first level of the Hiearchy.
UE4 doesn’t like you to have more than one bone on this level.
Select all the bones that are on this level then select the new bone last.
Press Ctrl + P then click Keep Offset.
This shouldn’t mess up your rig and it should take care of the import error.
