HELP: Importing FBX from Unreal Uassets to Maya disconnects textures?

Hi Everyone,

I’m trying to export some uasset models from Unreal to Maya as FBX the problem I’m running into is the textures all get disconnected and the materials
that are auto generated ( in Maya) have generic numbered names… meaning now I have manually recreate and rename all the materials as i try to reconnect everything

Any suggestions for solutions?

Looking at the forums i see mention of possibly things staying connected if you export models from Unreal as obj files… but I can’tt seem to do that for multiple files… only one at a time

I actually have this issue in Blender but am interested in the answer for Maya as well.
