I’m new at Unreal Engine 4 just want to ask how to import animation with root motion from mixamo. Here’s a video on how I download and import the animation
I’m also using mixamo animation but I wasn’t able to use it DIRECTLY with root motion.
The problem here is not an animation but skeleton from mixamo.
You need to add a root bone located on bottom-center as a top skeleton bone or use existing root bone and add the movement translation to this bone.
Thanks a lot man, I didn’t notice that the mannequin and mixamo auto rigger have different bone structure. I just manage it by using the animation on a skeletal mesh that have the same bone hierarchy as the auto rigger from mixamo and re target it to the UE4 Mannequin.
