Help.. I can't puppet due to controller takes over camera

So I am trying to use a game controller to puppet a character. I have the controls working on the character but when I hit “play in viewport” the joysticks pilot the viewport as well… I know there is way to turn this off… but I can’t find it.

Can you explain in further detail what you mean by “the joysticks pilot the viewport”? Do you mean that the camera also moves when moving the character?

Any additional specifics you provide may go a long way in solving your problem!

I am trying to do the virtual puppeteering tutorial. But when I try to control a part of the character (arm, head) using the game controller… the camera flies off at breakneck speeds.

This was the issue the Input Action was not set to Consume Action and Axis Mappings… That fixed it so the controller ONLY controls the puppet.
