Help : Custom First person arms to replace Mannequin FPS arms


I have modelled and textured a set of first person arms.

I’m just wondering what is the best and quickest way to rig, setup and import them to replace the existing FPS arms?
I have all the animations I need setup for the mannequin, so Ideally I would like to use all the existing animations that are in my FPS template.

I’ve looked at a lot of different processes, but no one seems to share the whole process.

Can anyone help me please?

I have the fps arms and rig exported and imported in to Maya, and would like to detach the mannequin arms and attach the new arms.
Then import in to UE4. All the animations exist in my fps template, so I only need to rig the new arms and export?

Rig & skin your new arms to the epic skeleton. Looks like you’ve matched the skeleton well so you shouldn’t have too many issues with your weights
