Help a newbro please!

Hey, this is my first time posting on this forum but I’ll try my best. I would love to create and develop my own games. But the problem is is that I have no idea how to use UDK. I tried watching Unreal’s videos but they’re outdated so I have no idea of where anything is or what keys to press. After looking at the blueprint editor, and things like that I feel greatly intimidated and I have no idea who to do things. I don’t even know how to use geometry mode or subtract materials. Please help.

You need to just do some basic tutorials. Get acquainted with the UI and general concepts, and then start working on a small manageable project. As you’re working through it, break down each challenge and research how to accomplish elements of it.

Also, UDK and UE4 are separate things, UDK is a version of Unreal Engine 3, it’s not Unreal Engine 4

Also make sure to take a look at those useful links:
https://wiki.unrealengine/Main_Page (many tutorials)
https://docs.unrealengine/latest/INT/ (here you can find answers to specific stuff)

As already mentioned, start a own small project - during that you will have many questions, which you can ask here in the forum or answerhub (we are always here to answer them :))
Currently epic games is updating the video tutorials, so after some weeks/months many videos will be up to date again.
