Hello Neighbor like inventory system

Does anyone know how to create a hello neighbor like inventory system?
so i have 4 slots i can switch between using 1 -4 ,
i want to be able to hit the button for the slot and automatically equip the item, and i want to be able to drop. throw, use, and use the item on other objects in the world (like using a key on a door)
