Hello, I had tried to do the direct link from archicad25 to twinmotion2021.1.2, but failed. Detail is described bellow. I appreciate it if you could give me an advise. Thanks in advance.

When I hit the direct link button, message appeared which says "Direct Link sync" in archicad,"Direct link starting " in twinmotion, but no object is appeared in twinmotion.

Then I tried following actions but none of them worked.

・Restart archicad and Twinmotion.

・Restart PC

・Uninstalled unreal datasmith exporter for archicad and installed again.

・Installed twinmotion 2023.1.2, in which direct link has worked at first time,

but it failed after second time.

・​installed twinmotion 2022.2.3 but direct link didn't work.

Please give me any advise which can possibly solve this problem.

Hi ,

With Datasmith, some versions of Datamsith are not compatible with certain versions of Twinmotion.

  • For Twinmotion 2023.1 and newer, you will need to sue Datasmith version 5.1 or newer.
  • For Twinmotion 2022.2.3 and older, you will need to use Datasmith 5.0.3 or older. newer versions of Datamsith are incompatible.

I believe your issue is you may be using Datasmith 5.1 or 5.2, which is incompatible with the older versions of Twinmotion.

You can verify which versions of Twinmotion and Archicad each version of Datasmith supports on the https://www.twinmotion.com/en-US/plugins/archicad page.
