Hi Guys,
As HDR panos are being used with lidar and is a standard pipeline practice it might be good to implement a spherical camera model to register and project panorama imagery as textures.

I second this request, I was trying to do this today & it does create tie points and colorize but when I hit the texture button it breaks & of course I cannot export it with a texture.
For this to work E57 format will need to be supported - as you can export individual images, angles for those images and a point cloud.
Using a pre-stitched panorama does not work very well from experience - but I’m interested if someone has found a way.
HI RC Team, this would be a great feature for accompanying Lidar scans where photogrammetry is not possible. My team would definitely use this feature.

The e57 support for point-cloud import has just been released -> Version 1.0.2.1976 RC release
Thank you RC team. Looking forward to testing this out.
+1 for the inclusion of using 360x180 degree stitched panorama sphericals, instead of individual images would be superbly useful!
Hi all
is it possible to get sample dataset with 360x180 images + laser data ( not mandatory ) with at least 5-10 positions from you?
Please describe what device workflow you use to capture the data.
Hi,
it’s been a while so I’m curious if aligning a 360x180 panorama is now fully supported. My last test with a colored lidar scan and a couple 360 panoramas didn’t align.
Thank you.
