I have purchased 3 new game environments which all show up in my vault. One is shown saying “Create Project”, which I did and was able to open it and navigate that world. All the others only give me the choice to “Add To Project”, which I don’t want to do. I want a new project for each. So in UE5 I created a new project with just the starter template, then went back to my vault and clicked “Add to Project” and selected my new ‘empty’ project. It spent some time loading, but nothing changed. That project did not contain anything different. All I want to do here is take these environments that I purchased, open them in Demo mode in UE5, then save them as their own project. I never guessed it would be so complicated. Can anyine help me with what should be a simple task for anyone who knows what they are doing? Thank you in advance! Bob
After you have added to project, they are there. I think maybe you’re looking in the wrong place.
Hey @RobertBRobertson!
Usually things you buy on the Marketplace will have their own folders inside of the content folder in your project. Were any folders created? If so, the default level will not be the new map. You will have to go and set the new level as the default.
If not, could you send a screenshot of your content browser?
I hope the above solution works for you!
I can see that the project is in my library, but it won’t let me create a new project from it and when I try to add it to an existing project that I created called “MyProject” nothing really happens. It looks like it’s loading, but when I open “MyProject” it’s not there. I can’t find where it is on my hard drive. I can only see the GothicHorror one and the HQ Western Salloon in my documents under Unreal Projects. All I want to do is be able to open these and create a project so I can navigate the environment.
Hey @RobertBRobertson,
I can see the only other environment you have tried to add to your project is medieval fantasy ruins right? It is the only one with local data. Adding the environment to a project will not change the project’s thumbnail or name automatically.
- Have you opened your MyProject in Unreal? is there is no “RuinedCrypt” folder?
- Could you have accidentally added it to one of your other projects?
- Can you take a screenshot inside of your project instead of inside of your Launcher?
- You can also right click your project in the and select “show in folder” to see inside the project in the file explorer.
I hope the above points you in the direction you need!
Hey @RobertBRobertson!
Checking in with you! Were you able to solve your issue? Was any of the above the solution?
