I dont know if this is the right topic to post this question in , but i give it a try
So today i tried to download UE 4.10.0 for windows 8 and after the download finished it showed me:
Error Code 1223 plz make sure your operating system is on the newest standart
As far as i know i have regular updated my OP but the worst thing is that i tryed to run UE 4.10.0 after the error message again and it started redownloading the whole engine as if i didnt have installed it only 20 minutes ago at all.
My internet is very slow and the connection breaks often , so it is a pretty anoying process to redownload again and again.So beside of the newest operating system, what other programms do i need to get ue 4.10.0 running? Do i need some special microsoft visual studio or some other programm and why do i have to re-download the entire engine again and not only update the missing programms?? Does anyone know??
Yes, at least i thought so,but i will double check. But my main question beside the error message is , why does the launcher not recognize the already downloaded 4.10.0 file after the error message, and starts instead the download process by zero again? The launcher had downloaded the full 3,7 gb and i can see the files in the UE folder but it doesnt recognize them anymore.
So is there a way the make the launcher recognize this files again so that i only have to upgrade the missing programms or do i really have to download the 3,7 gb file again???
I had the same problem. It went away once I uninstalled Visual Studio 2013 and upgraded to Visual Studio 2015 (Community - Free version). So, Iām guessing it was something to do missing with C++ libraries.
