Having problem casting from Widget blueprint to First Person Character

Hey! Newbie here. I’m just testing out some stuff. But I’m having a problem. I want a custom event to play everytime the mouse hovers over some gray bars on the left and right side of the screen (see image below). But for some reason the cast always fails.

I have know idea why this is. But here is the code if anyone knows what I’m doing wrong.


Oh and I’m casting from a widget blueprint to the First Person Character.

Help is very much needed. Also please take the fact that I’m dumb into account when answering.

Change these to the “get player character” node.
