Have light sources in the world, but not visible to the player character?


I have also posted on the answerhub, but no luck so im trying here aswell :slight_smile:

Is it possible to make scene capture 2D pick up certain lightsources. The way I have it now is that the player can place several cameras. I want these cameras to have light but make them invisible to the player.
So the cameras works as night vision/IR.


Probably you could get more help in the Rendering forum for this. However I have my doubts you can do that with light sources, though Iโ€™m not very experienced with lighting. That sounds rather like something you should do with a Post Process material.

Isnโ€™t that what lighting channels are for?

Lighting channels kinda work. But the objects with different channels are still โ€œlitโ€ from the player perspective.
