Have bought some Globe Plants. .TMI and I have copied them into my user library but they are not showing up within the program’s user library.
Also bought .FBX files and they come through white with no materials. Have I wasted money?
Hi ,
We can't provide any official support for third party content sellers, for user library objects from previous versions of Twinmotion, please make sure you are opening the user library items in a supported version of Twinmotion. For 2023.1 specifically, you will need to follow the conversion prrocess below to update user library items to be usable in 2023.1:
- In the version of Twinmotion prior to 2023.1, place all the User Library assets that you want to bring into Twinmotion 2023.1 into the scene.
- For objects, drag them into the Viewport.
- For materials, apply the material to a simple primitive object (for example, Box 1m or Sphere 1m in Library > Objects > Primitives) in the Viewport.
- Save the scene.
- Open the scene in Twinmotion 2023.1, and save the objects and materials in the User Library.
Best,
Raghib
Although this is an old thread I will answer to anyone else out there that is looking for better plants and trees. Globe Plants has saved all their TwinMotion files as .TMI files. In order for me to use them in V2023 TwinMotion I renamed each plant model as a .TM. Then just open each one and you get a warning that they were saved in an older version. Just let the program convert it over for you.
One more suggestion: Once you open the tree or plant model click on each plant. Then go to the scene menue on the right, click on the three little dots next to the plants name and "add to user library" so that you can use these in all your new models.
